Upper Thames Otter Habitat Project

Brief

Work with the Environment Agency and Berks, Bucks and Oxon Wildlife Trust (BBOWT) to create new otter habitats as part of a long term scheme to support the return of otters to the Upper Thames catchment.

Details

Riverside planting areas were designed and planted with native species to provide otter refuge sites on the Rivers Windrush and Evenlode.

Plant stock was grown from local seed collected within the Thames Valley to ensure the correct plant provenance.
